The answer to our prayers are not for our comfort or convenience.
‘Thus says the Lord God, “It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went.’ (Ezek 36:22)
In Jeremiah 33.3-8, God says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. I will heal, I will cleanse , and I will forgive.”
In 2 Chronicles 7.14, God says “If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
In Psalm 27.7-8 David says “Hear, O LORD,when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When thou saidst Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.”
In Hosea 5.15 God says to us “I will go away and return to My place Until they acknowledge their guilt and seek My face; In their affliction they will earnestly seek Me.”
If we die for Jesus Christ we LIVE for Mighty God. And nothing … absolutely NOTHING else matters.

Jeraldd said: Wow, [Truth Seeker]. Now you gone and done it. You are saying that it’s not about me. It’s all about Him and them. Do you really mean that the answer to prayer is conditional?
Actually – no. That is, His answer is not dependent upon any condition or requirement from me. But His answer always has the characteristic of bringing honor to the name of the Lord, filling the earth “with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord” (Hab 2.14), for His names sake (Psalm 23.3; Ezek 36.22),and “I will heal, I will cleanse , and I will forgive” (Jer. 33.3-8).
We may not recognize that at first, or not at all – at least that’s been my experience.
